Arka Tech Labs: website, web app and AI development studio
A small engineering studio building products, platforms and technical systems for founders, startups and businesses that need more than off-the-shelf solutions.
We work with founders, startups and businesses in the United Kingdom, the United States, India and worldwide, remotely.
Services
Product: From a blank page to something people use.
We shape the idea, cut it to what matters, and ship a product that is fast, clear and built to keep evolving.
- Websites: Fast, considered sites that carry a brand and convert.
- Web Applications: Complex, stateful interfaces that still feel simple.
- MVPs: The smallest real version — built on foundations that scale.
- Internal Tools: Dashboards and admin systems your team actually wants to use.
Engineering: Systems that are correct first, then fast.
Frontend to database, we design clean boundaries, predictable APIs and data models that survive the next three pivots.
- Frontend: Typed, component-driven interfaces with real performance budgets.
- Backend: Services that are observable, testable and boring in production.
- APIs: REST, GraphQL, event streams — designed as products of their own.
- Database Architecture: Schemas, indexing and migrations that hold up under load.
Intelligence: AI where it earns its place.
Retrieval, ranking and language models applied to real problems — measured, evaluated and wired into the product properly.
- AI Integrations: LLMs and models embedded into workflows with guardrails and evals.
- Search Systems: Lexical, semantic and hybrid search tuned to your domain.
- Recommendation Systems: Signals, ranking and feedback loops that improve with use.
- Automation: Pipelines that remove repetitive human work safely.
Infrastructure: The part nobody sees until it breaks.
Cloud, containers and pipelines set up so deploys are routine, costs are understood and scaling is a setting — not a project.
- Cloud: AWS, Azure or GCP — architected for the workload, not the brochure.
- Deployment: CI/CD, preview environments and safe rollbacks.
- Performance: Caching, CDNs and profiling where the milliseconds are.
- Scalability: Horizontal, vertical, or simply smarter — whichever is cheaper.
Improvement: Make what you already have better.
We step into existing codebases, find what is actually slowing you down, and fix it without stopping the business.
- Search Accuracy: Relevance tuning, synonyms, analyzers and measurable quality.
- Performance Optimization: Profiling, query plans, bundle size and render paths.
- Legacy Modernization: Incremental migration off systems that hold you back.
- Architecture Improvements: Untangling coupling so teams can move independently.
How we work
- Understand: Understand the business, the problem and the constraints — before touching a line of code.
- Design: Define the architecture, the product experience and the technical approach.
- Build: Build quickly while keeping production-quality engineering — tested, reviewed, observable.
- Improve: Measure, refine, optimize and scale based on how the system actually behaves.
Who you work with
A small team of engineers covering every layer of the stack. You talk directly to the people who build your project. Meet the team.
- Full-Stack & Product: Product architecture, fast interfaces and the APIs and data behind them — planned end to end. (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL)
- AI & Machine Learning: LLMs, retrieval and ranking — grounded in your data and properly evaluated. (LLMs, RAG, Embeddings, PyTorch, Evals)
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Deploys that are routine, costs that are understood, scaling that is a setting. (AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
Frequently asked questions
What kind of projects do you take on?
New products (websites, web apps, MVPs, internal tools) and improvements to existing ones — search, performance, AI features, automation and cloud. If it's technical and it matters to your business, it's worth a conversation.
Who will actually work on my project?
The engineers on our team. There are no account managers and no middlemen — the engineers you talk to on the first call are the ones who design and build it.
How do engagements usually start?
With a short call to understand the problem, then a written proposal covering scope, approach, timeline and cost. Small, well-defined problems can start within days.
Can you work with our existing team and codebase?
Yes. A lot of our work is stepping into existing systems. We can own a problem end to end, or embed alongside your engineers and pair on the problems that matter most.
What does it cost?
It depends on scope, so we don't publish fixed prices. Share a rough budget range in the form and we'll tell you honestly what's realistic within it — including when a smaller first phase makes more sense.
What happens after launch?
Your choice: a clean handover with documentation, or ongoing care where we keep measuring, improving and scaling the system with you.
